Aggregated wholesale access to FTTP


Preamble

The first submission was begun in early 2017 and never submitted due to futility of my participation in CRTC process against all parties, incumbents, so-called consumer group and group representing ISPs. With the issuance of 2020-187 consultation, it was brushed up and submitted.

CRTC TRP 2015-326
The main culprit, the CRTC 2015-326 decision which stated FTTP access was needed but ensured it couldn't be accessed by requiring impossible dis-aggregated access to over 800 Bell Canada central office by each ISP.

This speech is 45 minutes long and covers wide range of topics from wireless to FTTP but contains significant statements with regards to FTTP costs being lower, and Bell Canada definitely intending to shut down copper.
